Courageous Reconsideration™

What if yesterday's answer has become today's burden?

Dr. Ursula T. Wright helps leaders and organizations courageously reconsider what is no longer working, confront what must change and strengthen their leadership, culture and organizational capacity for what comes next.

Look Beneath

I have always been interested in the question underneath the question.

You can change the strategy and still have the same problem. Change the leader and leave the culture untouched. Change the structure while protecting the assumption that created it. My work begins by asking what we may have stopped questioning. That is often where the work of transformation actually begins.

A Practice of

Courageous Reconsideration™

Courageous Reconsideration™ is the disciplined practice of questioning what has become assumed, inherited or normalized in order to determine what must change for what comes next.

Leadership sometimes requires the courage to examine what has become unquestioned. Dr. Ursula helps leaders and organizations look again at assumptions, models, practices, structures and ways of working that may have once served them but may no longer fit what or who they are becoming.

Reconsideration is not disloyalty to the past. It is stewardship of the future.

How the frameworks work together
Courageous Reconsideration questions
01

Does this still serve where I am going or what we are trying to accomplish?

Three Levels of Transformation

Knowing what must change is only the beginning. Transformation has to hold at every level.

Once something has been courageously reconsidered, the work turns to what must be strengthened.

01

The Leader

Capacity, clarity, identity, wellness, judgment, inner architecture, and leadership practice.

02

The Culture

Trust, communication, management practices, assumptions, psychological safety, relational health, dignity, and the everyday experience of working and leading together.

03

The System

Structures, workload, policies, decision making, human infrastructure, and the conditions that determine whether healthy performance can be sustained.

The Container Integrity™ Framework

Can You Hold What Comes Next?

Container Integrity™ examines the inner and outer capacity of a leader, culture or organization to sustain pressure, growth, change and responsibility.

Leadership Transformation

Can the leader hold it?

Leadership carries a private cost. Pressure, transition, growth, grief, identity shifts and greater responsibility can expose places where the person carrying the leadership needs strengthening.

Capacity

Can I carry the weight without losing myself?

Clarity

Can I see clearly enough to make the decisions this moment requires?

Inner Architecture

Do I have the rhythms, boundaries, identity and support required for what comes next?

Most leaders cannot bleed in public.

The Sacred Vault™ provides confidential space within Private Leadership Advisory for the moments leadership cannot be processed publicly.

Organizational Health

Can the organization hold it?

Organizations also have containers. Culture, trust, communication, management practices, structures and human infrastructure determine whether change can actually be sustained.

Culture

Can people trust, communicate and work together through what is changing?

Human Infrastructure

Are the conditions strong enough to support people without depending on heroics?

Systems

Do structures, policies and decision making reinforce what the organization says it wants to become?

Culture repair and organizational repair are applications. Organizational health is the work.

The goal is not a single fix. It is an organization strong enough to sustain trust, change and healthy performance over time.
